Become a Volunteer!
Please consider joining us at the 15th annual CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge (CVSPC).  Our generous volunteers work tirelessly at everything from traffic control and manning the will call booth to interacting with top LPGA players as a marshal or walking scorer.

As a volunteer you will not only receive great benefits but, you will also have the opportunity to see some of the World’s best women golfers up-close, and be a part of this exciting new East Bay tradition.

We invite you to consider not only working the week of the tournament but also in the weeks prior, as we have many pre-tournament projects that we need volunteer assistance for. Please recruit your friends for this tremendous opportunity.

• Volunteers are requested to commit to four "half day" shifts during tournament week. The exact schedule varies by committee, but typically breaks down to approximately 4-6 hours a shift. Some committees require orientation and training sessions; these hours do not count towards the time commitment.
• Committees may have other requirements, such as a minimum age requirement or submitting to a DMV records check so that permission may be given to operate a motor vehicle during tournament week. Committee chairpersons can answer any questions regarding scheduling or any additional requirements for heir specific committee when they contact you.

AM / PM Shifts:
Most committees will have an AM and PM shift. HOWEVER, some committees are not asked to report until later in the day so the first shift may not be an actual AM shift. Each shift is estimated to be 4 – 6 hours depending on the committee. The volunteer chairpersons will designate shift times for their committees.

The Uniform:
All volunteers will need to purchase the Official Volunteer Uniform Package (Nike Dri Fit Golf Shirt, Nike Wind Proof Golf Jacket & Nike Golf Hat) for $75. The rest of the uniform will consist of your own khaki pants, shorts or skirt.  Official Volunteer Uniforms must by worn for each shift that you are scheduled to work.

Volunteer FAQ
What if I can't work the minimum shift requirement:
Priority is given to applicants who can commit a minimum of four shifts. Most committees are looking for volunteers with flexible availability when developing their tournament week schedules. You may still volunteer, but you will be assigned to only those committees needing help during your indicated time availability.

How do I know if I have been selected to be a volunteer for the event?
All applicants are accepted if they fulfill the requirements (See above). If none of the committees you've selected as your top three choices are available, you will be notified of what is available. If you are not interested in the committee(s) available, simply decline the offer and ask that you be added to a waitlist on the committee you prefer.

Is a position on my committee of choice guaranteed?
First choice selections are not guaranteed, but the sooner you submit your volunteer application, the better chance you have to be assigned to that committee. It is rare that someone is not assigned to one of the three committees of their choice. If we are unable to assign you to one of your three choices, you will be notified of what is available and have the option of accepting the position, being placed on a waiting list or requesting removal from the tournament database.

My friend and I are coming together can we be scheduled to work during the same time?
You may indicate on the application that you would like to be scheduled with a friend. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, you must be members of the same committee. It is difficult to coordinate schedules for two or more people if they are on different committees, as shift times vary among separate committees.

Additional Questions:
If you have any questions about volunteering please contact Julie Finn, Volunteer Coordinator by email at jfinn@brunoeventteam.com or call her at 925-725-0148.
